About the Student Council Association (SCA)

The Student Council Association (SCA) at South Effingham Middle School empowers students to develop leadership skills, promote school spirit, and engage in the democratic process. As a student-led organization representing the entire student body, the SCA provides a platform for students to voice concerns, share ideas, and influence positive change.

SCA members are expected to lead by example—both in and out of the classroom—through academic excellence, involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, and strong student-teacher relationships. The SCA works to create a supportive, dynamic environment where students can grow, contribute, and make a meaningful impact on their school community.

Student Council applications are now open!
All interested students must complete the online application form located on the Student Council homepage under the Overview section.

• Applications Open: Tuesday, September 2, 2025

• Applications Due: Monday, September 8, 2025

• Campaign Week: September 15-18, 2025

• Elections Held: Friday, September 19, 2025

All parts of the application, including teacher recommendation forms, must be submitted online. No paper forms will be accepted this year.
